Cable Reels
What are Cable Reels?
Cable reels, also known as cable winders, are industrial equipment designed for systems that require movement and energy transfer. These reels feature a retractable cable wound onto a reel, allowing the power cable to remain stationary while providing the necessary energy.
Euroreels cable reel ensures that long cables are neatly wound, increasing operational continuity and keeping your work area organized. Each automatic cable reel is made from high-quality materials, known for their durability and longevity.
Cable winding reels have a broad range of applications, from fieldwork to industrial storage areas. If you want to streamline your operations and safely store your cables, Euroreels industrial cable reel is the ideal solution.
Types of Slip Rings
Spring driven cable reels utilize specially designed slip rings to facilitate energy transfer. These slip rings vary based on their sensitivity and the environments in which they are used.
Based on sensitivity:
- Energy and signal cables: Available with silver or copper contacts.
Based on the environment:
- Open type slip rings: Recommended for indoor use.
- Closed type slip rings: Recommended for outdoor use.
Recommended SlIp RIng Types Based on EnvIronment:
- Indoor industrial cable reel: Open type slip rings.
- Outdoor industrial cable reel: Closed type slip rings.
Recommended Slip Ring Types Based on Sensitivity:
- Energy transmission: Open type slip rings.
- Signal transmission: Closed type slip rings.
We provide the necessary information to our customers regarding their slip ring choice based on their intended use, even if there is no specific request for a particular type of cord reel.

What is the Latching Mechanism?
The latching mechanism consists of a specially designed pawl-ratchet system that allows the cable wound on the reel to remain at a desired length. When the cable is pulled to the required length, the pawl locks into the ratchet, ensuring that the load on the cable is supported by the pawl-ratchet system and not transferred to the operator.
The locking mechanism for electric cable reels varies based on the intended use. It should not be used in automation-based applications, as it poses a risk for automatic retraction. The locking mechanism is more suitable for systems operated by an individual.
Mounting Options for The Cable Reels
Euroreels spring driven cable reels are designed to accommodate all types of mounting options. Commonly preferred mounting types include floor, wall, and ceiling mounts. Automatic cable winding reels, or cable winding machines, offer top or bottom exit options based on the installation area and requirements.
For some models, users can adjust the exit direction themselves. For cable reels where user adjustment is not possible, the exit direction is finalized during the proposal stage.
